Intuitive Analysis vs. Data Analysis

Humans should run machines, not act like them.
Businesses today are run like machines and project virtual images about who they are out into the world. As a result, mistakes are made because there are illusions about their true identity. Because businesses run like machines they have an unconscious mind (energy) that creates extremes of behavior that are not sustainable or fulfilling. Most corporate structures use the same gaming, superficial, and mechanical techniques within the organization that they use in the marketplace. This rots the company from the inside out. Employees try to look good and market themselves within by spinning the data, getting superficial results, and competing with such intensity that their true objectives are selfish and not in alignment with the best interest of the organization. How do you work on the unconscious mind of a business? Change the energy.
Most traditional leaders lead by bad example or illusion.
Training in business and commerce today is about strategy and technique. Data analysis, logic, tools, and processes seek to be efficient and standardize best practices. This takes the life and humanity out of business relationships.
Many leaders today have a well-developed virtual self and a significant unconscious mind. The virtual self disrupts and interferes with business relationships and as a result, leaders become more machine-like. The virtual self is related to the sub-conscious or unconscious mind. By definition, the unconscious mind acts without your approval and takes away free will and conscious choice. The greater portion of the personality that the virtual self occupies, the greater the unconscious mind.
The virtual self is blind to the ecosystem of a company and the ecosystem of the market they work in. Large corporations have a vested interest in maintaining the virtual parts of their customers because the virtual self is susceptible to manipulation and illusion.
Human beings are ecosystems, but the world has trained us to think and act like machines. When we work and develop our virtual self, we disconnect from the resources and benefit of our authentic self. We create blind spots and barriers to performance that keep us from sustainability.
Common illusions about leadership:
|
That leaders can change just by deciding not to be angry, afraid, or arrogant.
Data analysis gives me what I need to make decisions. |
|
Being "nice" to employees increases productivity, loyalty, and morale.
The false belief that it's not personal, it's just business.
|
True change happens when the energy changes.
The best way to connect and understand an ecosystem is through its energy. The best way to connect to energy is via intuition and emotional intelligence. Natural Leaders understand the difference between acting and being, because the primary relationship we have in the world is with our authentic self.
Why it is essential for non-profits, green and social businesses, and triple bottom line businesses to have Natural Leaders.
In reality, businesses and organizations are ecosystems that have a balance that needs to be maintained in order to perform. The greatest illusion is that they are machines that require programming to perform. When an ecosystem is treated like a machine, there are side effects that are either invisible or lack clarity, and are detrimental to the business or organization. If these effects could be seen, they would show a direct relationship to barriers to performance, challenges within the organization, and mistakes small and large. All the data analysis in the world will not bring to light these precise problems.
Becoming a Natural Leader will help you develop and connect with the ecosystem of your business or organization.
